This week I learned so quick ways to "pretty" up my blog post. For many years I have cut, pasted, inserted, and embedded. This week I learned some new ways and found short cuts to what I was doing.
I was fun to look at Dr. Robin's blog and see what she had created and how she created the engaging bits she added to her blog.
This weekend I will be able to explore this in more depth and practice some.
This week I was able to create a video to help students to complete a travel form. I was able to post it to Youtube and it was fun.
What did you enjoy about this week? I think it has been a super fun week.

Techtooljule, You are right the short cuts or even the introductions we have been exposed to has created a much better understanding of a lot of different applications that will help us stream line processes. Like you I always cut paste or copy paste and were routine steps I was taking now with the other tool like Zing it is so much easier and convenient to capture an image and go forward much more quickly. I also picked some useful hints from power point to be able to modify pictures which is also very helpful. Being able to shorten a video if you are doing a presentation through screencast and applying it to power point will be very useful in the future. I was going to view your video but it was private and I could not access.
ReplyDeleteIt was interesting learning new tricks on PowerPoint. I was not aware of the photo processing capabilities of the program either. That will come in handy if I don't have other photo processing programs on my computer.
ReplyDeleteThe Screencast program is also of interest. I have not had time to play with it yet, but it might have potential for what I am working on. We'll have to see how much time I get this week to try and put one together and test the functionality.
Have you gone back to see if anyone has viewed the video on the travel form? What comments have they made about it?
I also think this weeks was fun as well! I never knew that you could edit photos in PowerPoint before this week. This will be a tool that I will be able to use for many different things.
ReplyDeleteI think my favorite this this week was the Screencasting! It's an amazing tool and I plan on using it in the future for my work. It's going to make my life SO much easier. I have even shown it so many of my co-workers. Overall I'm taking a great deal of new information away from this course along with some amazing resources and tools. What resource/tool do you think you will continue to use after this course?
I really had fun doing the screencast, i think i will be able to us this new tool in teaching my classes and will be able to do what Robin has done and post it so the students can keep up to date without much question. I also liked the opportunity to use power point and use the functions to edit pictures and do more for power point presentations. It was all fun and great information, i hope everyone is able to use it all in some way.
